Two foreign ice hockey players acquired Korean citizenship on Monday, making them eligible to represent the country on the ice.

American Mike Testwuide, who has been playing for Anyang Halla since 2013, will be the proud wearer of a Korean national team jersey when he appears at the Ice Hockey World Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands next month.

Caroline Nancy Park, a Korean Canadian who played for Princeton University in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's Division 1, has been working as an assistant coach for the Korean women's national team since January.

As host of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Korea receives automatic berths in men's and women's ice hockey.
