The trophy was unveiled at the National Football Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province in the presence of the national women’s football team.

It is 47 cm tall, weighs 4.6 kg and is made of gold, bronze and aluminum.

The trophy tour began at the women's World Cup in 2011, stopping in every participating country. This year marks the second tour of the kind.

Korea failed to qualify for the World Cup in Germany in 2011, but by finishing fourth in the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup, Korea qualified for this year's event, which kicks off on June 6 in Canada.

Korea is in Group E with Brazil, Costa Rica and Spain.

The national women's team will leave for Cyprus on Thursday to compete at the 2015 Cyprus Cup, facing Italy on March 4, Canada on March 6, and Scotland on March 9. The squad will also play a friendly against Russia here in April.
