Kim Sei-young climbed rapidly through the world women's golf rankings after picking up her first ever U.S. LPGA title last Sunday in a closely fought playoff at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic on Paradise Island.
She was awarded 3.24 ranking points in the list released on Monday, to move up 17 notches to 23rd place.
Korean-New Zealander Lydia Ko maintained the world no. 1 spot for two consecutive weeks with 9.76 points, and Park In-bee, who was dethroned by Ko last week, narrowed the gap with 9.51 points.
Stacy Lewis of the U.S. is in third with 8.60 points, China's Shanshan Feng in fourth with 6.29 points, and Norway's Suzanne Pettersen in fifth with 5.86 points.
