Park Chan-ho did more than just win 124 games in the Majors -- he paved the way for all Koreans who have ever dreamed of becoming a Major Leaguer.
Over the weekend, Park's accomplishment in becoming the first Korean to play Major League Baseball was honored with a Pioneers of Baseball award.
Along with Japan's Hideo Nomo, Park received the award on Saturday at a ceremony organized by the Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation.
Park delivered a memorable speech, recalling the hardships he faced as a pioneering Korean player, and thanking the scouts for giving him the opportunity to play in the Majors.
