Indie Documentary on Track to Set New Record

An indie documentary is on pace to set a new record in indie film history.

"My Love, Don't Cross That River" has attracted over 240,000 viewers in 11 days since its release on Nov. 27, according to the Korean Film Council data.

The documentary is about an elderly couple facing death after 76 years of marriage.

It achieved the feat faster than any other indie film -- 12 days faster than "Han Gong-ju," the most successful one in the first half of this year, and 20 days faster than Korea's all-time hit indie film "Old Partner" in 2009, which drew some 3 million viewers.

"My Love" also crossed the 100,000 mark in just seven days, faster than any other indie film.
