Actress Jung Yoo-mi reminisced about her role in the weekday soap "Mother's Garden," which wrapped up recently. In the soap about the meaning of family, she played a woman who anguishes over the conflict between a biological mother and foster parents.
"The soap actually gave me a chance to be thankful for my mother who brought me into the world," she said. "I also realized again the importance of being married and having a family."
Jung said her mother was an ardent viewer of the soap.
"My mother watched all the episodes which included many tearful scenes, and cried every time I cried in the tearjerker soap," Jung recalls.
Unlike the role in the soap, Jung is very cheerful in reality, and maybe that’s why she could endure the years of obscurity.
"Now, I want to do a brighter role or even try some funny characters," she said.
