A third follow-up to a documentary to "On The Border" produced by the Chosun Ilbo about the plight of North Korean refugees has been nominated for the documentary category of the 42nd International Emmy Awards.

All three parts of the documentary have now been nominated for the prestigious gong.

The latest part, called "Phantoms of the Border," centers around the six-year-old daughter of a North Korean defector woman escaping from North Korea and traveling through Laos and Thailand, eventually being adopted by a couple in Switzerland.

Many women defectors fall victim to human trafficking in China and their stateless children have become a new social problem there.

The documentary won praise for its raw depiction of the tribulations such children face during their dangerous journeys across Southeast Asian jungles.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 24.
