The Incheon Asian Games tries to embrace the underprivileged by offering them free tickets.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said on Tuesday that it wants to give multicultural families, migrant workers and foreign students an opportunity to enjoy the quadrennial sporting event free of charge.
Until Monday, over 1,000 foreigners applied for the free tickets. The host city Incheon will also provide 11,088 children from low-income families, the elderly and the handicapped with free tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies and various matches.
