The first group of North Korean athletes will arrive in Incheon for the Asian Games on Sept. 11.
An official from the organizing committee said on Monday, about 50 people including the men's and women's football teams, coaches, and officials will fly direct from Pyongyang.
The North Korean side notified the organizing committee that they will send their contingent in five batches on Sept. 11, 16, 19, 22, and 28.
The North Korean men's football team will play China on Sept. 15 and women's team Vietnam on Sept. 16 prior to the opening ceremony on Sept. 19.
North Korea is sending 150 athletes in 14 disciplines including archery, football, judo, shooting, swimming, and wrestling. But delegates will total 273 including coaches, officials, referees, and reporters.
