S.Korea, U.S. Considering Foreign and Defense Minister Meeting in October

South Korea and the U.S. are considering holding a joint foreign and defense minister meeting in Washington in late October, following an agreement reached during summit talks between the two nations in April.

Officials said that both countries will discuss the scheduled transfer of wartime operational control from Washington to Seoul as well as their combined operational capability against North Korea.
 
Although the envisioned meeting would be around the same time as the scheduled Security Consultation Meeting in October, it will highly depend on the ministers' schedules.
