Actress Kim Jin-ah, who was at the height of her popularity in the 1980s, died of cancer at her home in Hawaii on Wednesday.
She was 51.
Kim debuted in 1983 and starred in many films until 1990.
After some absence, she expanded her career into TV from 1995. Her last movie was "The Housemaid" in 2010.
Kim married an American in 2000 and the couple had a son. She was diagnosed with cancer last year.
