Volunteers Gather Ahead of Incheon Asian Games

Some 5,000 volunteers for the upcoming Incheon Asian Games gathered Tuesday in the port city to show their dedication, as the quadrennial sporting event is just around the corner.

About 13,000 volunteers will help make the event run as smoothly as possible, providing various services such as administrative assistance, translating and guidance for spectators.

Meanwhile, Uniforms for staff, volunteers and umpires were revealed.

The Asiad is expected to draw over 23,000 athletes and sporting officials from 45 countries.

China has the largest group of delegates at 899, followed by South Korea (831), Japan (717) and India (660). North Korea submitted a list of 150 athletes to participate in 14 disciplines.
