Military Sees Rise in Unfit Soldiers

So far this year 2,014 people were found unfit to complete their mandatory military service and have since been discharged from duty.

Between 2010 and June 2014, 17,801 soldiers who were deemed unfit for duty have been prematurely discharged from military service, according to the Ministry of Defense.

As an increased number of soldiers, finding it difficult to adjust to military life, request psychiatric treatment, the total number of cases reached 38,381 in 2013, the highest level in five years.

However, there are only 85 medical doctors serving in military hospitals who are qualified to treat them.
