Samsung may be struggling in the smartphone market, but it is doing rather well selling TVs.
Market researchers NPD DisplaySearch on Wednesday said Samsung's TV market share in North America in the first half of this year was a record 35.6 percent, up 6.2 percentage points from a year ago.
Samsung has been the world leader in the TV market since 2006.
Premium TV sets sold well, with a 53.2 percent share in the ultra-high definition TV market in North America in the first half.
