The chauffeur of ferry owner and cult leader Yoo Byung-eon turned himself in to police on Tuesday morning.
Yang Hoe-jung is believed to have been one of the last people to see Yoo, whose body was found in a badly decomposed state on June 12, and may be able to provide vital clues to the cause of his death.
According to prosecutors, Yang called to turn himself in at 6:30 a.m. and appeared around 8 a.m.
He had been on the wanted list for harboring a criminal.
Earlier on Monday, two female followers of Yoo, who were also on the wanted list, turned themselves in.
