Some 90 Catholic bishops from overseas will come to Korea during the pope's visit in August. The organizers on Monday said some 30 bishops will be part of Pope Francis' delegation, and over 60 from Asia will also come to Korea to attend the major events on the trip.
The pontiff will attend the Sixth Asian Youth Day, beatify 124 Korean martyrs, and celebrate a mass for peace and reconciliation during his visit from Aug. 14 to 18.
He will also meet the bereaved families of victims of the April 16 ferry disaster, leaders of the seven major religions in Korea, and President Park Geun-hye.
Over 2,800 journalists from 23 countries have registered to cover the visit.
