Korea has jumped two spots in this year's Global Innovation Index to 16th place.
The annual rankings, published by Cornell University, INSEAD and the World Intellectual Property Organization, evaluate 143 countries on 81 categories that measure "innovation capabilities."
Korea scored slightly over 55 points out of 100. Switzerland topped the list with nearly 65 points, followed by the U.K. and Sweden.
