Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers started the second half of the season on a positive note and earned his 11th season win.
In an away match against the Pittsburgh Pirates in PNC Park on Monday, Ryu gave up five hits, one walk and two runs in seven innings to lift the team to a 5-2 victory.
Ryu now shares third place for most wins in the National League along with teammates Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals and Alfredo Simon of the Cincinnati Reds are at the top of the list with 12 wins and four losses.
Ryu is taking five days off and will start in an away game against the San Francisco Giants next Monday.
