The typhoon warning for Jeju Island has been lifted as Typhoon Neoguri makes its way north toward Japan.
Neoguri is expected to make landfall on Kyushu Thursday, but Jeju residents will still see strong winds and more rain in the next few hours.
Neoguri has now weakened to a tropical storm but weathermen say it could still bring heavy rain and gusts to eastern Japan, including Tokyo, by Friday.
Kyusu has already seen a record amount of rain over the past week. Warnings for floods, strong winds and landslides are in effect.
