The body of a person presumed to be a victim of the ferry accident off the southwest coast in April was found on Tuesday near an island 10 km from the site of the disaster.
The Korea Coast Guard said that the victim was 175 cm tall. DNA testing will conclusively determine whether the body came from the ferry.
It has been a week since a body was last found at the accident site. Should this most recent victim be linked to the disaster, the number of missing will stand at 10.
