Lotte will open a duty-free store at Kansai Airport in Osaka, Japan, in September, it said on Sunday.
It will be the first Korean duty-free shop in a Japanese airport. The number of foreign passengers at the airport reached a record-high five million last year due to the weak yen and an increasing number of budget airlines.
Lotte has seven duty-free stores in Korea and four abroad: in Guam, Indonesia and Singapore.
