Koreans Mourn World Cup Loss Against Algeria

Disappointment was written across the faces of the tens of thousands of fans who braved the heavy rain to cheer on Korea in its second World Cup match against Algeria.

Nearly 40,000 people gathered in front of COEX in southern Seoul to support the Korean national team.

The atmosphere was festive before the match, but disappointment soon took over as Algeria stuck three goals in the first half.

Korea's last group match against Belgium on Friday will decide whether the country can advance to the next round, but the chances are slim as it needs to win by a big margin.
