The number of millionaires in Korea grew about 10 percent from 160,000 in 2012 to 176,000 last year, according to a report released by consulting firm Capgemini and the Royal Bank of Canada on Wednesday.
China took fourth place with 758,000 millionaires after the U.S. (4 million), Japan (2.32 million) and Germany (1.13 million). If combined with Hong Kong (124,000) and Taiwan (112,000), the number of Chinese-speaking millionaires is about 994,000.
The report said the top four countries were "home to about 60 percent of the world's wealthy."
