Korea's bullet train will begin service to Incheon International Airport on June 30, taking travelers from the provinces directly to the airport without the trouble of changing to a subway at Seoul or Yongsan stations.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport on Monday said the KTX will run to and from Incheon Airport 20 times a day -- 12 times for the Busan-Seoul line, four for the Gwangju or Mokpo-Seoul line and twice each for the Iksan and Yeosu and Miryang-Gwangju lines.
It will take about 47 minutes from Seoul Station to Incheon, 3.5 hours from Busan, and 4.5 hours from Mokpo.
The fare will be W12,500 from Seoul Station and W12,800 from Yongsan Station, while about W12,000 will be added to the original fare for travel between a local station and Seoul Station (US$1=W1,022).
