Hanwha Engineering and Construction said Monday it completed the world's largest dome arena in the Philippines. The Philippine Arena is located 27 km north of Manila.
The arena covers an area of 74,000 sq.m and can seat 51,000 people. Hanwha won the US$175-million contract to build the arena in 2011, beating the biggest construction company in the Philippines and other international players.
Hanwha E&C CEO Lee Keun-po said, "The dome arena, which requires a high level of expertise, will boost our efforts to enter the construction and civil engineering markets in Southeast Asia."
