President Park Geun-hye will visit Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan on June 16-21 as part of an initiative to strengthen Eurasian ties.
In Uzbekistan she is to meet her Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov to discuss cooperation in the Surgil natural gas project and Talimarjan thermal power project. In the capital of Tashkent she will also meet leaders of the Korean community, the largest in Central Asia.
In Kazakhstan, where about 250 Korean businesses operate, Park will meet with her Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The first Korean president to visit Turkmenistan, she will meet her counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov there.
