Samsung Electronics will launch a 7-inch crossover smart device on Tuesday, the company said on Monday.
The Galaxy W, which is exclusive to SK Telecom, is dubbed a "phoneblet" or "phablet" as it combines the features of a smartphone and tablet.
The 4G LTE-A device comes equipped with an 8-megapixel camera. Its back is covered with a high-quality material that resembles leather. It is also relatively cheap, costing just W499,400 (US$1=W1,023).
SK Telecom plans to give free cases to all buyers and offer a 50 percent discount on Samsung's wearable devices such as the Gear Fit or Gear 2 Neo.
