National Team Head to Miami for Pre-World Cup Training

The national football team led by manager Hong Myung-bo were due to leave for Miami on Friday to train for the World Cup in Brazil. The team will work on improving their physical strength and strategy.

Miami has a similar climate to that of Cuiaba, where Korea will have their first group match against Russia. There is no time difference between the two cities.

After 10 days of training, the team will have their final friendly match before the tournament on June 9 against Ghana, which made it to the quarterfinals at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Afterwards, the team will move to Foz do IguaƧu, where they will be based during the World Cup.

On Thursday, the players were vaccinated against hepatitis A and endemic diseases like dengue fever.
