Disgraced Hanwha Chairman Returns to Korea

Disgraced Hanwha Group chairman Kim Seung-youn returned to Korea on his private plane on Tuesday evening, just eight days after he left for the U.S.

Kim first left for the U.S. on March 27 to treat his lung problems and diabetic complications and came back on May 2. He left again on May 19.

Kim walked the 100 meters to his car with the aid of others. He is on medical leave from a prison sentence for corruption.

Meanwhile, the equally disgraced CJ Group chairman Lee Jay-hyun on Tuesday returned to a medical ward in a Seoul jail after two weeks of treatment at Seoul National University Hospital.

Lee was imprisoned on April 30, but his heath quickly deteriorated and he was admitted to the SNU Hospital on May 13. Lee had a kidney transplant in August last year.
