Korea Declared Free of BSE, Foot-and-Mouth

Korea was has once again been declared free from mad cow and foot-and-mouth disease.

The decision was made at the general session of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) in Paris on Wednesday.

Korea was classified as a "controlled risk" of bovine spongiform encephalopathy in 2010, which was raised to "negligible risk."
