Kia Motors' new Carnival minivan is taking the market by storm. Pre-orders raced to 5,000 units in just two days of its release last Thursday, eclipsing the carmaker's previous record of 3,100 pre-orders for the K7 in 2009.
As Kia has already achieved its monthly target of 4,000 units for the Carnival it is pursuing aggressive marketing activities such as test-drive events to maintain the sales momentum.
The new model has undergone a total face-lift and is equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Two versions are available –- a 9-seater with fuel efficiency of 11.2-11.5 km/l and an 11-seater that delivers 11.5 km/l.
