Former Beatle Paul McCartney has canceled his first concert in Korea due to health problems.
Hyundai Card, the official sponsor of the concert, said Wednesday that McCartney decided not to go ahead with his planned performance in Seoul next Wednesday as his health has deteriorated due to a viral infection.
The move was anticipated after he canceled all of his scheduled concerts in Japan.
Live Nation, the organizer of the concert, said it will try to reschedule the Seoul gig for sometime in July, when McCartney has a two-week break during his U.S. tour, or in late August after the tour wraps up.
The organizer said McCartney expressed his disappointment at having to let down his Korean fans but added that he was looking forward to meeting them soon.
All of those who purchased tickets for the concert are eligible for refunds.
