Koreans Hold 3.9 Credit Cards on Average

Koreans still lean heavily on their credit cards but the level of usage is shrinking.

Recent data shows that the number of credit cards held per person came to 3.9 on average last year. This is the first time since 2007 that the figure has dipped below four.

The Financial Supervisory Service put the cause down to recent incidents involving data leaks at credit card firms.
