About 200 passengers were injured as two trains collided on one of Seoul's major subway lines on Friday afternoon.
The accident took place when one train, which had stopped between stations due to a mechanical problem, was hit from the rear by an incoming train at Sangwangsimni Station on Subway Line No. 2 at around 3:30 p.m.
Around 1,000 people were evacuated. No fatalities were immediately reported.
According to Seoul Metro, many injuries were caused by passengers jumping on the subway tracks.
