A group of volunteers arrived in Jindo, South Jeolla Province Wednesday afternoon to help those still waiting for word of their loved ones who were aboard the ferry Sewol, which sank off the southwest coast on April 16.
The group comprises family members of those who lost their lives when the Navy corvette Cheonan sank on March 26, 2010. Forty-six sailors lost their lives that day.
Around 30 of their family members went to Jindo to stay with the families who have been waiting for word on the missing passengers for over two weeks.
The group said they want to pay back the help they received from other volunteers four years ago and will help in any way they can, such as providing laundry and food services and emotional support.
