Hyundai Unveils New Sonata at New York Auto Show

Hyundai Motor unveiled its new Sonata in North America for the first time at the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Wednesday. The show kicked off on Friday and runs until April 27.

There will be four different versions available in the North American market -- the standard 2.4 SE, 2.4 Sport, luxurious 2.4 Limited, and 2.0 Turbo. All will have LED daytime running lights and a rear spoiler in accordance with local regulations.

Production will begin at the company's Alabama plant next month starting with the 2.4-liter version. It is due to hit the market in the first half of this year. Sales of the 2.0 Turbo will begin before the end of this year.

Hyundai Motor is displaying 18 cars at the show.
