Texas Rangers' outfielder Choo Shin-soo had one hit in four at-bats during Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
The Rangers held a special event to give away a red T-shirt bearing Choo's name and the No. 17 to 15,000 fans who came to watch the game.
The game drew over 1,000 Korean-American spectators to the stadium and was also broadcast in Dallas by a local Korean radio station.
In celebration of the 67th anniversary of Jackie Robinson Day on April 15, all players in Major League Baseball wore uniforms bearing Robinson's jersey No. 42 on the back.
The day commemorates Robinson becoming the first African-American to play in MLB in 1947. He debuted for the Brooklyn Dodgers, later renamed the Los Angeles Dodgers.
