Kia will debut the new Carnival minivan at the New York International Auto Show which opens on Wednesday. It is the first new Carnival to be released in nine years.
The Carnival is one of Kia's bestselling models, with 1.55 million units sold at home and abroad since the first was released in 1998.
Kia offered a sneak preview of the exterior on Tuesday, saying the wheelbase is 40 mm longer than the old model, thus offering more interior space.
The new Carnival will be equipped with a 3.3-liter GDI engine with up to 276 horsepower. It will be released in North America in the second half of this year and launched in the domestic market in June.
