SK Chief Is Korea's Highest-Paid Executive

SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won was the nation's highest-paid CEO last year with a combined W30.1 billion from four affiliates where he served as an executive (US$1=W1,064).

Chey is an executive with SK, SK Innovation, SK C&C and SK Hynix.

Among hired hands, Samsung Electronics vice chairman Kwon Oh-hyun topped the list with W6.77 billion.

Executives who make more than W500 million a year are required to reveal their annual salaries in their firms' regulatory filings by Monday following law revisions late last year. Some 730 executives declared their earnings.
