Independent filmmaker Lee Song Hee-il's "Night Flight" has been invited to several leading international film festivals. It appeared at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival last month and is now making waves at the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival, which kicked off on Monday.
The film has also been invited to the 7th CinemAsia Film Festival in Amsterdam, which opens early next month, and the 29th Torino GLBT film Festival in Italy later in April. More of Lee's films will be screened at the Torino festival and the director will meet with audiences there.
"Night Flight" tells the story of a group of boys who slowly become dehumanized in order to survive the bullying and violence they experience at school.
