After being cast in the sequel to the Hollywood blockbuster "The Avengers," actress Kim Soo-hyun said the filming of several scenes in Seoul should boost tourism.

"I also feel proud and moved by the fact that Marvel Studios, which is producing the movie, was impressed by the beauty of Korea to choose to shoot parts of the film here," she said.

"It's grateful that various organizations in Korea are actively cooperating to help make the film here. I'll do my best to let the world know about the beauty of Korea through the film."

The Korea Tourism Organization and Marvel Studios recently signed a deal to cooperate on shooting the highly anticipated Hollywood sequel, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" in Seoul.

Shooting is scheduled to run from March 30 to April 14, with the film due to be released here in April 2015.

"It would be great if Hollywood were to fall in love with Korea after filming here," she said. "I hope that it will boost the tourism industry and lead to more Hollywood blockbusters being shot in Korea."
