Pitcher Yoon Suk-min, who moved to Major League Baseball outfit the Baltimore Orioles from Kia Tigers earlier this year, will start the new season in the minor league.
The Orioles announced on Thursday that Yoon and catcher Johnny Monell will be heading to the Norfolk Tides in the Triple A.
Orioles Manager Buck Showalter said, "We think he's got a chance to be with us at some point. I think he said the other day when he was talking to us, he needs to go down there and pitch innings… He needs some time down there against competition."
Yoon was the third pitcher to take the mound for the club when it faced the Tampa Bay Rays that day, giving up one solo homerun over two innings. The Rays won 7-4.
