Shim Suk-hee won three gold medals at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Montreal, Canada on Sunday. She claimed the overall title with 102 points.

Shim, who finished third at the event last year, edged out compatriot Park Seung-hi, who won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal to finish with 73 points.

Cho Hae-ri was the last Korean skater to claim the overall women's title at the championships in 2011.

Russia's Victor Ahn, who switched nationalities in 2011, won his sixth overall title in the men's field.
