Korea failed to earn any medals at the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics that ended on Sunday.
At the closing ceremony on Sunday, International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven handed over the Paralympic flag to Lee Seok-rae, mayor of the next host city Pyeongchang
Korea collected just one medal, a silver in wheelchair curling, back in Vancouver in 2010, and will have its work cut out in four years' time.
Host Russia topped the table with 30 gold, 28 silver and 22 bronze medals, followed by Germany (9,5,1) and Canada (7,2,7).
Among Asian countries, Japan put up the best performances by pocketing three gold, as well as one silver and two bronze.
