More Investors Trade Shares on Their Phone

More people are using their mobile devices to make stock trades.

The Korea Exchange said Monday that a quarter of all stock transactions on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index in February were made through smartphones and tablet PCs.

The figure has risen steadily from just 3 percent in 2010 and recently surpassed the 25-percent mark for the first time.

Analysts attributed the rise to the sharp increase in the number of smartphone and tablet users over the past few years, as well as aggressive marketing strategies by security companies.
