Korea to Host Int'l Qualifying for U.S. Women's Open

The Korea Golf Association has agreed with the United States Golf Association to hold international qualifying for the U.S. Women's Open in Korea.

The move is designed to support outstanding players throughout Asia, the association said on Monday.

This is the first time that international qualifying will be held outside the U.S. It will also take place in Britain, China and Japan. The event will comprise 36 holes of stroke play at a golf club in Cheonan, South Gyeongsang Province on May 19.
