The Baltimore Orioles have signed a three-year contract with Yoon Suk-min as expected, the Major League Baseball club announced Tuesday.
Yoon is the 15th Korean player to enter the major league since Park Chan-ho in 1994 and only the second to go straight from the Korean baseball league to the major league after Ryu Hyun-jin joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Yoon will give a press conference on Wednesday at the Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida, where the team is in spring training.
The Orioles posted Yoon's photo on their Facebook page with a message in Korean that said, "Congratulations on Joining the Orioles, Yoon Suk-min."
