Kia's Soul EV had its world premiere at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show on Thursday. It is an eco-friendly version of the automaker's flagship compact SUV, which was first launched in 2008 and now aims to take the global market by storm.
The model is equipped with an 81.4 kW electric motor and can travel about 148 km on a single charge. Using a 100 kW charger it takes 25 minutes for the vehicle to be recharged.
Kia plans to unveil the Soul EV in Korea as early as in April, in the U.S. in June, and in Europe in the second half of this year.
