Mild, Wet Holidays Ahead

Temperatures will be mild during the Lunar New Year holidays but with rain or snow nationwide.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast rain in the central and southwestern parts on Thursday morning, and across the country on Saturday afternoon. Southern parts will see rain until Monday morning, and it will snow in mountainous parts of Gangwon Province on Saturday.

Another cold snap will likely hit the country after the holiday season, with the morning low plummeting to -6 to -7 degrees Celsius in Seoul next week.
