Korea Cruises Past Costa Rica in Pre-World Cup Friendly

      Korea beat Costa Rica 1-0 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday thanks to a goal by Ulsan Hyundai striker Kim Shin-wook.

      The friendly match was the first of three tune-ups organized as part of the squad's overseas training in North America ahead of this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

      The result brings Korea's head-to-head record against Costa Rica to three wins, two draws and two losses.

      Korea will play Mexico in San Antonio on Wednesady and the U.S. in Carson, California on Saturday before heading home.
